Tomás Penfold

Tomás Penfold is an Director at Bully Pulpit International (BPI), where leverages his nearly a decade of experience from the private sector to help navigate strategic campaigns across a range of industries, including technology, education, advocacy, infrastructure, and more. A native Spanish-speaker, Tomás has a breadth of experience in policy communications, executive thought leadership, crisis communications, and building creative partnerships with stakeholders to help drive client goals.

Prior to joining BPI, Tomás was a Manager at Global Strategy Group (GSG), where he strategized and crafted high-level integrated communication campaigns for clients in the technology, venture capital, and social impact sectors. Previously Tomás worked at Marathon Strategies, where he served as a ghostwriter for C-Suite executives in the finance, social advocacy, real estate, and healthcare industries.

Earlier in his career, Tomas worked at CIT Group, where he supported external communication efforts for the firm's commercial banking unit and served as the Editor of the company’s intranet. Before his tenure at CIT Group, Tomas conducted research at the World Bank Group and championed strategic communication efforts at the EastWest Institute, an international think tank.

Born in Caracas, Venezuela, Tomas attended Fordham University where he played Division I soccer and double majored in International Political Economy and Communications.
