Michael Zetts is a Senior Director at Bully Pulpit International (BPI), where he brings more than a decade of strategic communications and public relations experience on Capitol Hill and political campaigns to help clients advance their objectives and navigate today’s ever-changing media landscape.
Before joining BPI, Michael served as Communications Director and Senior Advisor to Congressman Tim Ryan (D-OH), where he planned and implemented results-oriented communications campaigns on subjects ranging from technology and economic policy to health care and energy issues. He established long-standing relationships with reporters, producers, and key stakeholders across the country and helped grow Congressman Ryan’s profile from an up-and-coming politician to a high-profile, nationally recognized elected official.
In addition to his time on Capitol Hill, Michael helped lead Congressman Ryan’s 2020 Presidential campaign, helped launch Ryan’s 2022 Senate campaign, and worked on political campaigns in Ohio, Connecticut, and Maryland.
Michael holds a Master of Communications degree from Johns Hopkins University with a dual concentration in Public and Media Relations and Corporate and Non-Profit Communication, and he holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Kent State University.
Michael was born and raised in Youngstown, Ohio, and currently lives in Washington, D.C., with his wife and their dog.
