Rebecca Shafer is a Director of Client Services on the Culture Change team at BPI, where she collaborates with clients across issue areas to develop and execute social impact strategies rooted in culture.
Rebecca joined BPI from the Entertainment Industry Foundation’s Roybal Film and Television Fund, where she supported the organization’s mission of amplifying diversity in production. Before that, she held roles in social impact at visual effects company Luma, and in account management/digital strategy at agency Sunshine Sachs. Rebecca started her career on the communications team at HBO – a position that helped unearth her passion for the intersection of social impact and culture.
A storyteller at heart, Rebecca holds a B.S. in Magazine Journalism from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. Rebecca lives in Los Angeles with her partner and spends her weekends camping, rock climbing, and going to the beach.
