Jan Töpfer is a Partner in BPI’s Berlin office. With 10+ years of experience at the intersection of politics, communication, and technology, his strength lies in translating complex political dynamics into targeted strategies and innovative campaigns that create impact.
Before joining BPI, Jan spent 5+ years at Cosmonauts & Kings as Head of Political Communications, and most recently served as CDO and member of the management team. His earlier experience includes working in public affairs for BCW and Deekeling Arndt Advisors.
As a strategic advisor and creative campaign architect, Jan represents a new generation of political consulting, establishing a modern public affairs approach that combines targeted advocacy with digital effectiveness and efficient AI & data integration. He has led national and pan-European campaigns for political parties, ministries, and associations, and advised international corporations.
Jan is a member of the digital policy association D64 and teaches courses on data-driven campaigning at a university in Berlin. He holds a Master’s degree in Public Policy (Staatswissenschaften) from the University of Erfurt. Jan speaks German and English.
