Hilary Nachem Loewenstein

Managing Director

Hilary Nachem Loewenstein is a Managing Director at Bully Pulpit International (BPI), where she brings a decade of experience in building strategy for causes and candidates to clients’ marketing, engagement, and communications campaigns.

Hilary has worked in politics, communications, and public engagement since 2008, where she began her career on Capitol Hill working on communications and constituent outreach for Congresswoman Doris Matsui.

At BPI, Hilary advises corporate clients on the political landscape, trends in advertising, and public affairs. During the 2020 election, Hilary managed tens of millions of dollars across Presidential and state races to successfully mobilize voters, contributing to the historic voter turnout.

Before joining BPI, Hilary served as campaign manager on a U.S. Senate campaign, where she oversaw all staff and consultants while raising and managing a multi-million dollar budget.

Before then, she started at EMILY’s List as the organization transitioned leadership for the first time in its history and oversaw the media planning, buying, and budgeting for an acquisition campaign that allowed the organization to more than triple its membership. After running a national marketing campaign to elect the nation’s first out-LGBTQ senator, Tammy Baldwin, Hilary rejoined EMILY’s List as their first-ever Digital Advisor.

Profiled by MSNBC as one of eight "Women Bridging Tech and Politics in the 2016 Elections," Hilary has been a featured speaker at Netroots Nation, a trainer for the DNC, and led a team of more than two dozen content volunteers to run the social media program at the Philadelphia Democratic National Convention in 2016. She graduated from the University of Maryland and lives in Washington, D.C., with her husband, Josh.
