As a professional services firm, EY is fundamentally about people. They are able to win consistently in a crowded and competitive market if they can hire and retain the best talent.
EY has been a real market leader — investing in their people and innovative policies. But these separate programs needed to be more than the sum of their parts for EY to stay competitive in the talent market. They needed a single platform to coalesce and elevate the efforts they were making to support their workforce.
As BPI dug in, we noticed that diversity has too often become about fulfilling quotas, while inclusion is seen as simply inviting everyone to participate.
Belonging is truly valuing each person for all aspects of who they are and empowering them to contribute. When people are seen and valued for their many differences, they feel a part of something greater.
That’s why BPI built the Belonging platform for EY. From displays in company elevators to social media content, Belonging supports all of EY’s efforts in employee investment and DE&I.
Outcomes
BPI supported the launch and execution of EY’s Belonging platform, which the brand continues to use today.
The combination of investment in substantive policies that support their employees and a strong, values-oriented campaign like Belonging has helped EY win the war for talent, including greater retention, job acceptance rates, and more talent metrics.
EY was #1 on DiversityInc magazine’s 2017 Top 50 Companies for Diversity list and is on the publication’s Hall of Fame list.
